Cassy Garcia: Biden’s student loan document is ridiculous and outrageous
Republican congressional candidate for Texas’ 28th District, Cassy Garcia, joins Fox Across America with guest host Sean Duffy to shed light on the injustice of the White House’s recently unveiled student loan forgiveness plan.
“I went to college in the district, local, Texas Pan American University, now known as UTRGV. And I’m still paying my student loans, so I know how hard it is to pay them back. But that’s not true, and it’s bad policy for our community. It’s also incredibly regressive. Mechanics, teachers and bodega workers are not expected to bail out Harvard Law grads to the tune of $1 trillion over the next ten years. We should reform the broken student loan system, not add more fuel to this fire. And yesterday, I was having an ice cream party in Duval County and talking to constituents. They were outraged. They were upset. Many of them have already paid off their student loans. I chose not to go to an elite school. My parents couldn’t afford to send me to college. So I thought I’d do the responsible thing and get some student loans, which I could use. And I always pay off my student loans. So I think that’s ridiculous. And it’s just one failed policy after another. And I think that’s just outrageous.
Cassy also explains to Sean why a significant number of Hispanic voters are leaving the Democratic Party. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
