15,000 street vendors obtain loans under the PM program | Nashik News

Nashik: more than 35,000 street vendors in Nashik the city applied for business loans under the Prime Minister’s Street Vendor Atma Nirbhar Nidhi program, also known as PM Svanidhi program.
Of the total applications, the proposals of 17,320 suppliers were sanctioned. Of these, 15,000 vendors received loans from various banks amounting to Rs 12 crore. Under this program, loans of up to Rs 10,000 are granted to street vendors.
NMC Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar said the civic body has shown outstanding performance in disbursing loans to beneficiaries under the PM Svanidhi scheme.
Meanwhile, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – a central government initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements – will be celebrated in the country. As part of this initiative, the Center has selected 75 cities, including Nashik, where Prime Minister Svanidhi Mahotsav will be held on July 31.
In Nashik, Prime Minister Svanidhi Mahotsav is due to meet at Kalidas Kala Mandir on Sunday. The beneficiaries of the PM Svanidhi regime as well as the banks will be congratulated on this occasion by the Unionist Minister of State for Health and Family Bharti Pawar.
